Hell Pizza campaign is a serious breach to health and safety and child welfare
The Hell Pizza campaign which has provided a condom complete with explicit user instructions to thousands of letterboxes around New Zealand is a serious breach of health and safety, and it poses serious risks to child welfare says Family Life International.
"Condoms are not full proof protection under the best of conditions, yet after being exposed to excess heat, moisture and sunlight in a letterbox they are almost certain to become completely ineffective" says Family Life International media spokesperson; Brendan Malone.
Family Life International is also extremely concerned about the risks to child welfare that this campaign presents.
"Everyone knows that young children are impressionable, and there is no telling how many of them will attempt to use the condom and follow the explicit instructions provide by Hell Pizza" says Brendan Malone.
"We know that young children have viewed pornography then gone on to act out what they have been exposed to by sexually molesting other young children."
"Will the same thing happen as a result of this irresponsible campaign?"
"Research is clear that adolescent condom users have higher condom failure rates than adult users do, so what would the condom failure rate be like for young children attempting to use those provided by Hell Pizza?"
Family Life International is encouraging all New Zealanders to make their voices heard over the unacceptable and irresponsible advertising campaign currently being subjected upon New Zealand homes by Hell's Pizza.
"We cannot remain silent when our children are subjected to such serious risks" says Brendan Malone.
