New Zealand China FTA negotiations continue in Wellington next week
The ninth round of negotiations for a New Zealand China FTA will take place in Wellington during the week beginning 09 October 2006.
The inter-government negotiating team is led by David Walker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Following progress at the eighth round in Beijing in August, negotiators are moving to consideration of the ‘crunch issues’ such as market access for goods and services. Further detailed discussions between experts on services, investment, customs, SPS/TBT and other rules areas will also continue.
