A prisoner from Arohata Womens Prison has escaped from custody whileshe was being treated at a local dentist in Tawa.
The prisoner is described as female maori, fair complexion, long sjoulder length hair, medium build. She was not
handcuffed at the time.
Police searches are concentrating in and around the Tawa shops and the local train stations.
