Porirua Police say more information is needed to help find the person responsible for the arson attack on an elderly woman's home in Tawa on Sunday night.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam, Porirua CIB, said the community is understandably outraged by the random attack, and police want the arsonist caught.
Police and ESR specialists have now completed the scene examination of the unit in Redwood Village.
"We're still looking for the arsonist and want to hear from people if they saw or heard anything suspicious in the Tawa area about midnight on Sunday.
"Offenders love to talk about what they've done. If people hear anything, or have any thoughts on who might be involved, we want them to call us," Detective Senior Sergeant Oxnam said.
Contact Porirua Police on 04 238 1400 if you can help.
