Deal Reached Between NDU And Progressive Enterpises For In-Store Supermarket Workers
The National Distribution Union and Progressive Enterprises reached terms of settlement in mediation today over bargaining for a national collective agreement covering in-store union members working for Woolworths, Countdown and Foodtown supermarkets.
The terms of settlement will be presented to union members for ratification at meetings commencing this month.
The settlement will be recommended to union members.
National Distribution Union National Secretary Laila Harré said “the terms of settlement achieve a good result on key issues as well as providing a basis for the union and employer to continue work on developing a single pay scale across the three brands.”
Further details of the settlement will not be released until they have been presented to members.
