A previously-reported missing 78 year old man, Wiki POPATA, has been located.
He was spotted by crew of the Police Eagle helicopter in farmland near the Mangere airport. The helicopter was assisting
in the search for the man which saw the deployment of Search and Rescue squad-members and volunteers.
Eagle crew were able to land and stay with the man until SAR members arrived to carry him to a waiting ambulance and
family members. He has been transported to Middlemore hospital and is understood to be suffering from exposure.
