"Bully boys" tag refuted by Grey Power
Grey Power National President, Mr Graham Stairmand has expressed his amazement that the two political commentators on Radio NZ's "Nine to Noon show" have commented that Grey Power are bully boys because they have been advocating and pressing NZ First to support the Hide Bill.
"By NZ First supporting the Hide Bill, Grey Power could have made a submission to the select committee and hopefully have them make a recommendation in our favour in their report to the House which the Government would need to respond to. This is the only way that the public can make their views known and as uncontrolled rate increases are of great concern to our members, it is imperative that Grey Power's concerns be voiced.
As it has turned out, there will be an independent inquiry now so we await the very important terms of reference to ascertain whether there will be provision for the public to make submissions," Mr Stairmand said.
