Army Unimog Accident: Personal Statement Released On Behalf Of Private Kahn Hogg's Parents
The New Zealand Defence Force Public Relations Unit is releasing this statement on behalf of Mr Glenn Hogg and Miss Angela Murdoch.
"On this sad day, we wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Private Meredith Simms. We feel your pain and share your grief as our families go through this difficult time.
"We received advice from a number of medical specialists over the weekend that our son is unlikely to fully recover from this accident.
"We want to thank the members of our son's platoon for providing immediate medical assistance and the Army for its ongoing support, and we are grateful for the specialist medical care from Burwood Hospital he is receiving." Mr Hogg and Miss Murdoch and their extended family request that their privacy be respected. They will not be conducting any media interviews.
