New Zealand Police National News Release 5:23pm 14 August 2006
NZ Police's recruitment drive (for 1,000 additional officers) is about to get into gear with the selection of an advertising agency and the appointment of a recruitment marketing manager said National Manager Recruiting, Inspector Dawn Bell.
"Following a stringent tendering process Police are pleased to announce the appointment of M & C Saatchi (New Zealand) as the successful tenderer," said Inspector Bell.
"Being a police officer in New Zealand is a unique and dynamic employment opportunity and we are confident that M & C Saatchi has the capacity and capability to help New Zealanders recognise this."
Inspector Bell said the recruitment campaign will begin in a couple of months with a strong presence across a range of media including television, radio and online.
Through the campaign, NZ Police aims to reach and attract a range of people, including young people, females and members of New Zealand's Asian, Pacific and Maori communities.
