Grey Power endorses Vehicle Register decision

Published: Tue 8 Aug 2006 12:05 AM
PRESS RELEASE
Grey Power President, Mr Graham Stairmand advises that Grey Power thoroughly endorse the decision of the Transport Safety Officer, Harry Duynhaven, to stop public access to the Vehicle Licensing Lists.
"We have had concerns with the criminal element being able to access peoples' information simply through their car registration number. Many elderly are out for a number of hours when shopping, and it has been a simple matter for burglars to get their address. We are pleased that this is no longer able to happen," stated Mr Graham Stairmand.
