Auckland City Police are at the scene of a shooting in Penrose.
One man has been taken to Auckland Hospital with a stomach wound and Police have cordoned off the scene on Great South Rd, a gun shop called Small Arms International.
Police are speaking to witnesses at the scene and traffic is being diverted around the area.
It's not known how serious the wounded man's injuries are though he was conscious on arrival at hospital.
It's understood he went into the shop shortly after 10am carrying a machete.
