Upper Hutt Police have arrested a 17-year-old male and charged him with sexual violation by rape following an attack on a visually impaired young woman near Trentham two weeks ago.
Detective Sergeant Ron Scott, Upper Hutt CIB, says the 17-year-old male was found on Saturday and spoken to by police about the incident. He was arrested and was due to appear in the Upper Hutt District Court today, Monday 24 July.
