Body in Suitcase - Update
The body found floating in the Waitemata Harbour at about 9:40am today was that of a young Asian man, possibly Chinese, and was believed to be in his 20's. He was about 166 cm tall. Police have not been able to identify him. He suffered multiple injuries which are believed to have been inflicted within 24 hours of his discovery.
Police want to hear from anyone who has seen a large suitcase dumped into the harbour, or carried near the water. Any information can be reported at phone 0800 237 852 (0800 BESTLAND. Police also wish to hear from anyone with a friend or family member fitting the description, who is missing.
