Handing out chocolate eggs to highlightcruelty

The Wellington Animal Rights Network will be highlighting the cruelty of battery hen farming today at 1pm in Midland Park, Lambton Quay, Wellington. A brass band and several chicken costumes will appear bearing chocolate easter eggs as part of a campaign to highlight the cruelty of battery egg cage farming.
The Wellington Animal Rights Network is supporting Green MP Sue Kedgleys 'Consumers right to know (Food Information) Bill' which if passed will require battery farm produced eggs to be clearly labelled as such
