Police: Body Found At Arthurs Pass

Body found at Arthurs Pass
At about 2.30pm this afternoon, the body of a woman was found, believed to be Elizabeth Thomson who has been missing for five days.
She was found by a search team in the Grahams Stream area. Sergeant Peter Summerfield says it appears to have been there for several days.
The body was brought by helicopter to Arthurs Pass this afternoon.
Mrs Thomson's son and daughter had arrived from the UK this morning and they have been informed.
Search teams are being withdrawn and the operation concluded says Peter Summerfield.
"We are very saddened with the result," he says.
The matter will be referred to Christchurch Coroner.
