6th Annual Auckland Regional Model UN on April 1st
The United Nations Youth Association of New Zealand will be running its 6th Annual Auckland Regional Model UN on Saturday April 1st at the University of Auckland.
The Auckland Regional Model UN is an event held for Secondary School students that gives students the chance to experience first-hand the challenge of international relations by participating in simulations of the United Nations General Assembly.
Delegates represent an allocated member state of the United Nations, and debate issues from the perspective of their assigned country. Participants seek ways, through the means of diplomacy and negotiation to find solutions to global concerns such as the environment, economic development, AIDS, and human rights
Registrations for the event are currently open. Students can register by downloading a registration form from the United Nations Youth Association of New Zealand website (www.unyanz.co.nz)
