New envoys present credentials

German, Swiss, Danish, American, Belgian envoys present credentials
Ambassadors from Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, United States of America and Belgium present credentials to Governor-General Dame Silvia Cartwright at Government House tomorrow (9 November, 11am).
Germany’s new Ambassador is Jörg Hans Zimmermann. Mr Zimmerman has had previous postings to Beijing, Manila, Kobe, Algiers, Canton and Tokyo.
Beat Nobs is Switzerland’s new Ambassador to New Zealand. Dr Nobs joined the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in 1988, and has had a previous posting to Kenya. Dr Nobs has a PhD and a Diploma in Higher Education.
Klavs Arnoldi Holm is the new Ambassador from Denmark. Mr Holm joined the Danish Foreign Service in 1980. His previous postings include Paris and London.
The new American Ambassador is William McCormick. Mr McCormick is Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa. Mr McCormick is the founder of McCormick & Schmick’s seafood restaurants.
Belgium’s Ambassador is Frank Carruet. Mr Carruet previously served as Ambassador in Yaoundé (Cameroon). He has also been posted to Toronto, Stockholm and the UN. Mr Carruet entered the diplomatic service in 1987.
Mr Holm and Mr Carruet are cross–accredited to New Zealand from Canberra.
