Provisional Labour weekend road toll stands at three
Provisional police crash reports show that there were three fatal crashes resulting in three deaths on New Zealand roads this Labour weekend. Two drivers and one pedestrian were killed. Provisional reports indicate that travelling too fast for the conditions was a contributing factor in two of the three deaths.
The official holiday period for Labour weekend 2005 began at 1600 Friday 21 October, and ended at 0600 this morning.
