Children’s Day enriching for all
“Children’s Day is always an opportunity for us to celebrate the young people in our lives and in the wider community,” says Barnardos Chief Executive Murray Edridge. “And this year the celebration theme reminds us of what all children universally need; love and affection.
Barnardos is a member of the National Steering Committee for National Children’s Day. This year Children’s Day will be held on Sunday 30 October.
“To give children love and affection is a simple message that cannot give any cause for debate, and is unequivocally understood and supported by us all.
“It is this premise that is the foundation principle for the Barnardos vision that children need love and affection to grow up to live happy, enriching lives.
“Barnardos encourages everyone to celebrate this year’s Children’s Day, either privately or with your wider community,” says Murray. “We can all help children celebrate their childhood, while we in turn can celebrate how giving love and affection to children enriches our own lives.”
