Maxim Miss Irony In Their Weisenthal Tribute
HappyClappingHomos.com would like to point out an obvious irony that the Maxim Institute has missed in their tribute to the late Simon Wiesenthal. It has been stated several times by the Maxim Institute that it is just to discriminate against certain types of relationships (gay ones primarily)
The Institute has stated “What particular benefit is added to society by Alan and Paul’s sexual behaviour” and that “It is not a human right to have one’s sexual relationship recognised and protected in law. It is a privilege awarded by the state because of the public benefits.
And the state should protect the public benefits of marriage by upholding certain entry requirements.” Unfortunately for the Institute in this instance, Section 1 of the Law to protect German Blood and Honour also states that it is ‘Just’ not only to discriminate against certain relationships, but to dissolve those relationships if they already exist “Marriages between Jews and nationals of German or kindred blood are forbidden.
Marriages concluded in defiance of this law are void, even if, for the purpose of evading this law, they are concluded abroad.” The rationale was of course that Jews were parasites and not full productive members of society. Their relationships particularly to ‘Aryans’, gave no benefit to German society because the answer too “What particular benefit is added to society” would have been Mischling (a person of mixed race).
There seems to be a commonality of thought insofar that the drafters of the Nuremberg Laws and the Law to protect German Blood and Honour both agree that the recognition of the relationships and marriages of certain groups is indeed based on their ‘value’ to society.
Discrimination against those relationships was ‘Just’ because neither they, nor their relationships contributed towards the racial harmony of the Reich. Maxim seems to believe that recognition of Homosexual relationships does not contribute towards the social harmony of New Zealand.
It seems Ironic that Maxim is celebrating a man who worked his entire adult life to tracking down those who viewed that it was “Just” to discriminate against groups under the law, yet the institute itself advocates this exact same thing. We suggest to the institute that it takes care of its own house first before trying to ride on the coat tails of a great leader and inspiration.
