Anarchists reject coalition with any party

Anarchists reject coalition with any party that would accept a coalition with anarchists
“We also thank politicians for further reducing the public’s trust in them. This was the most scurrilous, muck-raking and unprincipled election campaign New Zealand’s ever had – and we think that’s just great!” says Sam Buchanan, spokesperson for the Wellington-based Wildcat Anarchist Collective.
“A Readers Digest poll in June this year rated politicians the least trusted profession out of 32 categories. Given the way politicians carried on over the last few weeks, we suspect their rating today would be even lower - if that was possible.”
“We’ve been wondering if undercover anarchists are posing as politicians in order to discredit them.”
“We’d like to thank politicians for their behavior, the realists who voted with the understanding that almost nothing would be achieved by it, and the decent, responsible New Zealanders who refused to vote and thus mandate the rule of clowns and crooks.”
The Wildcat Anarchist Collective works for an anarchist society, a society based on a network of communities formed by voluntary agreements based on cooperation and respect for the freedom of others.
“We don’t think people are perfect, we do think they’re basically decent and can work together to run their own society. By discrediting the state system, the current crop of politicians encouraged people to consider a genuine alternative,” Buchanan says.
