Power prices keep going up? Take the Power Back!
Alliance Party
Wellington People’s Forum
Sunday 24th July, 2pm
Crossways Community Centre, Elizabeth St, Mt Victoria, Wellington
Speaker: Derrick Davies-Payne
Derrick’s talk will focus on the role that the market and neo-liberalism have played in New Zealand’s electricity sector in recent years, focusing on the impact of high and increasing user chargers on beneficiaries, students, the elderly and low paid workers. What does the Alliance propose, and what alternatives, with the environment firmly in mind, should we be looking at for the future? It’s time to Take the Power Back!
All welcome.
