Current political policy at www.policy.net.nz
With the election date about to be announced, voters can access current political policy of all the main parties at http://www.policy.net.nz.
This non-partisan website resouce has cataloged all relevant policy from all parliamentary parties, using only text content from each party's website.
It is comprehensive, and updated daily as new policy is announced.
Voters can see each policy position compared, neatly summarised on one page.
This provides voters an opportunity to decide their position based on policy, rather than personality, by focussing on the particular issues that motivate them.
This is a unique resource. No similar website exists in any other country. It is one voters can use to make a policy-based decision, rather than a personality or "sound-bite" decision.
In addition to policy comparatives, users can also check the candidates in each electorate, the party lists, and investigate the detailed 'follow-the-numbers' resource that catalogs the spending priorities of the government. It also summarises other key data, such as the crime stats.
Because it is strictly non-partisan, this site is used widely as a key resource by many groups. Unions, NGOs, business, media, and political groups from across the spectrum all utilise this resource, as do the political parties themselves.
