DOC And Police Begin Legal Proceedings
The Department of Conservation can confirm that they have laid three charges under the Marine Mammal Protection Act 1978. Three men have been charged in relation to the shooting of a NZ fur seal on the Otago Peninsula on Sunday 12th June.
The NZ Police are also charging the three men under the Arms Act 1983 in relation to the same incident.
