Progressive Party Looks For Votes In London
10 June 2005
The Progressive Party's North Shore candidate, Paula Gillon, has been selected to campaign for party votes in London.
"Our party selected Paula to be our international agent in London, where she is currently living, because she is a great communicator," says deputy leader Matt Robson MP. "Her message to Kiwis in the U.K. is that the more party votes that Progressive gets, the stronger our party's arm will be inside the next Parliament to continue to deliver strong pro-economic development and anti-drugs policies," Matt Robson said.
Paula Gillon, who graduated from Auckland University last year, says she is looking forward in particular to promoting Progressive's graduate debt-relief and competitive corporate tax rate policies. Paula Gillon has served as an elected member of the North Shore City Council and the Birkenhead and Glenfield community boards. She was a foundation member of Birkenhead/Northcote Youth Forum.
