Early Childhood Policies in the Spotlight
The Education Spokespersons from all six major political parties will take centre stage together at the Early Childhood Council Annual Conference in Wellington this Friday 13 May.
MPs representing Labour (Hon Trevor Mallard), National (Hon Bill English), NZ First (Hon Brian Donnelly), Greens (Metiria Turei), ACT (Deborah Coddington) and United Future (Bernie Ogilvy) will each present the key features of their party’s early childhood policy and answer questions from delegates.
The conference programme also includes keynote presentations from international experts on the world-leading High/Scope early childhood programme Harriet Egertson and Peter Heaslip, acclaimed authority on discipline Madelyn Swift, NZ literacy expert Jill Eggleton, and inspirational author and presenter Glenn Capelli.
With this sensational line up it is hardly surprising the conference was sold out several weeks ago.
The conference is being held at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, Wellington with the Political Party Presentations commencing 1.00 pm Friday 13 May.
