Three arrests for historical sexual offences
National News Release 1:01pm 16 March 2005
Police arrested three men today for historical sexual offences against two women in Rotorua in the early 1980s.
The alleged offenders will appear in the Auckland and Tauranga District courts this afternoon.
Detective Superintendent Nick Perry said the arrests follow investigations made by Wellington and Rotorua based Police who have worked on the case for over a year.
Identities of the arrested men would not be disclosed ahead of the first court appearance so that any potential applications for suppression could proceed without prejudice.
