Out of Bloody Touch
Helen Clark and Bill Gudgen are a couple of out of touch old farts says Paddy Sweeney from the West Coasts Good Bastards Movement remarking on their comments regarding John Farnhams involvement with the Gallipoli remembrance celebrations..
“Who do they think they are? Farnham was invited by The Australian Diggers to attend and sing a few appropriate songs of respect and remembrance. The sort of songs the diggers and the Kiwis would have sung. It was deemed to be highly poignant and correct.”
“What an insult these two have thrown at our proud and historic past. Sure we are all allowed to comment but Clark, swinging off her chandelier in the Beehive, has gone to far and got it wrong.”
“If she wants to ban songs of respect by one of the truly great voices of our time, someone she hasn’t even heard from all accounts, shows how much she is in touch with the rest of us. Then who is next, surely she must shut down great singers at an all black match, hymns could even go.”
“At what point was a pop concert ever mentioned. Is New Zealand politics in such dire straights that they have to throw a false trail waffling on about Pop Concerts! There was never ANY mention of pop concerts. Who are Helens advisors here? They are all away in the dell with the little pixies.”
“Gudgen should build his credibility by getting the basis of fact in his assertions correct, bloody pop concert!!!! Where did this geezer get this information?
“Helen and Bill, please apoligise to the Aussie Diggers before you make us look bigger geese than you already have?”
Mind you Helen has never apologized for calling us West Coasters Ferals, and now she’s slinking in with visits back here like a dodgy car salesman having a go at selling ya a second dud car.”

Good Bastards is a politically incorrect group that hails from the West Coast of the South Island.
They are prone to Larrikinism, humour political incorrectness and having pot shots at politicians that the bulk of Kiwis relate too.
