Destiny To Ordain Its First Bishop
The Senior Minister and founder of Destiny Churches, Pastor Brian Tamaki, will be officially ordained Bishop of Destiny Churches at its 7th birthday celebrations in July this year.
A recent summit of Destiny Church leaders established that it was timely and appropriate to formally recognise the distinction between Bishop Tamaki's position and that of the numerous senior pastors within the movement.
Destiny Churches have grown into a significant movement in New Zealand with churches located in many major centres throughout the country and also Brisbane, Australia.
Bishop Tamaki's ministry has also developed international profile with a recent live guest appearance on TBN's Dr Martin Luther King commemorations in Atlanta. TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) is the largest Christian broadcasting network in America.
Details of Destiny's 7th birthday celebrations and the ordination will be released in March.
