A New Zealand Air Force Hercules will today fly its fourth mission in to the tsunami ravaged Indonesian region of Aceh.
To date the crew has flown nearly 16 thousand pounds of freight in to the area, as well as one pallet of rice, one pallet of milk products and water filtration equipment.
They have also flown 16 Indonesian Red Cross workers in to the area and 33 displaced locals out of Aceh.
The Air Force Boeing 757 will today leave Malaysia for Richmond Air Base in Australia.
The crew and aircraft will work in conjunction with the Royal Australian Air Force airlifting personnel and equipment from Australia to Indonesia.
Eighteen members of the Defence Force medical team have arrived in Malaysia. The rest of the team on board a second C-130 Hercules is on route to the area.
