Seated: Colin Beyer (Capital Properties), Air Marshal Bruce Ferguson (CDF, NZDF) and Mike Cashin (Capital Properties) formalise the agreement.
The Chief of Defence Force, Air Marshal Bruce Ferguson, yesterday formalised contractual arrangements with Capital Properties to lease a new seven-storey building that will be occupied by the New Zealand Defence Force, Ministry of Defence, and the NZ Security Intelligence Service.
The building is to be constructed on the corner of Mulgrave and Aitken Streets in Wellington, and will be leased for 18-years, with rights of renewal for two further terms of six years each.
The three organisations received Government approval to proceed with the lease of new accommodation in Wellington two weeks ago and will move from the current Stout Street accommodation in February 2007.
