Update 2: Accident On HMNZS Endeavour
As at 4:00 pm today, two personnel remain in St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney. Crew members from Endeavour have been visiting throughout the day providing support and encouragement. Two still remain at the Australian Naval Hospital and will rejoin the ship prior to sailing for South East Asia next week with Te Kaha.
A Court of Inquiry has convened this morning to determine the cause of the accident and an inspector from Lloyds is assessing the damage to the lifeboat and will provide options to the RNZN on whether repair or replacement is required.
