26 July 2004 Lead in corn flour
The New Zealand Food Safety Authority is to hold a media conference to discuss concerns surrounding high levels of lead
recently found in batches of corn flour.
The lead was first discovered in batches of 100gm Robinsons Step Up Egg Custard during targeted routine testing
undertaken as part of NZFSA’s programme of monitoring and surveillance.
NZFSA experts will be at the media conference to provide an update on the issue.
