Second Mortar Attack For Kiwi Troops
Business as usual for NZ troops at Fortress Lines after a second mortar attack at Fortress Lines in Basrah yesterday.
The attack occurred yesterday morning (5:30 pm NZST). Three mortar rounds landed inside the British/Kiwi compound. No NZ troops were injured. Additional force protection is in place and security measures are being continually monitored.
The NZ troops are working on a number of humanitarian and engineering projects.
