we should be worried about it. The New Zealand mediascape is one of the most commercialised media markets in the world
with a high concentration of ownership in the hands of just a few overseas companies: Canwest, ANM, Fairfax and INL.
Whose News? asks what this pattern of media ownership means for our democracy and what we can do about it. This
documentary contains Interviews with Alastair Thompson (Scoop), Bill Rosenberg (Media Market Analyst) and Dr Joe
Atkinson (media researcher).

celebrate the courage and victories of our movements in the streets.
Into the nonplace of capital we conjure the reality of our many worlds. Against a disembodied global violence we bring
our word made blood and bone. With our step we rewrite the meaning of these streets. And with our cameras we bring
echoes of these days and worlds into other places and times.

PLUS: A short documentary produced by Auckland indymedia about several of animal rights activist who had their homes
raided by the police after several recent sucessful actions in Auckland. The police arrested 4 activists and items were
conviscated from the activists homes include computer harddrives, leaflets, badges, posters, cameras, video tapes,
cellphones, hand written notes, diaries, magazines, and computers. In short, everything vaguely related to political
dissent. Charges are primarily 'disorderly' and 'intimidation' apparently relating back to anti-fur protests in April
and May - protests which the activists maintain were peaceful.
