New President for New Zealand Red Cross

Lady Keith elected as New President for New Zealand Red Cross.
Lady Keith was elected as the New Zealand Red Cross National President at the National Council held in Hamilton last weekend. Lady Keith brings to the position a long history of involvement with the Red Cross, most notably as Chair of the Central Regional Board since 1999 – until 2004.
Lady Keith is well known for her work with the nursing profession having received the CBE for nursing and public health services.
She was most recently appointed as the inaugural Hunter Fellow, Victoria University Patron Nursing Education and Research Centre. Lady Keith says, “New Zealand Red Cross is a very diverse organisation which is currently working both nationally and internationally to alleviate suffering and to protect human dignity. Through working with other Red Cross National Societies and Government alike. The New Zealand Red Cross will be able to enhance the valuable work it is doing.
Brigid Eady was elected the Vice President; Brigid a Te Kuiti Farmer was also the Regional Chairperson for the Midland Regional Red Cross Board.
Earl Trass was elected as the National Treasurer. Earl is a semi retired Financial Management Consultant from Auckland.
