Libertarianz Denies Being Porn Peddlers
Revelations that the Libertarianz are promoting pornography on their website have been denied by Libertarianz luminaries. Deputy Stephen Berry confirmed today that "the party is not responsible for any of the contents on our previous website." His statement is backed up by the party's chairman and its president.
It is advised that people go to the current site, www.libertarianz.org.nz
The 2002 election website www.libz.org was closed several months ago by the party, but it has been resurrected by website scammers with the images replaced by pornography.
Berry says, "It is clear we have been made the victims of an overseas scam. Files from a site are saved before the site is shutdown and then used in its resurrection." The controller of the site has been traced to Russia, where there is little that can be done to stop them.
The party is looking at the legal possibilities, but few options appear to be avaliable.
