The following information is designed to make your attendance at the Social Forum Aotearoa Conference as pleasant and as
valuable as possible. If you require assistance at any time, please come to the Registration and Information Desk and
the team will do everything they can to help.
REGISTRATION & INFORMATION DESK
The Registration & Information Desk is located through the Entrance of the Wananga Campus. The desk will be open throughout the conference
and will be staffed by volunteers.
CATERING & ACOMMODATION
The conference will be serviced by a fully functional cafeteria. Tea/coffee and chilled water will be provided
complimentary. All other refreshments can be purchased at delegates expense. Cash facility only. No EFTPOS.
A range of menu's, including buffet, will be provided during the conference. If you have any special dietary
requirements please inform the people at Registration / Helpdesk. Breakfast and dinner will be available to those taking
advantage of the marae-style accommodation on Campus.
If you have advised any special dietary requirements in your registration, these will have been forwarded to the
respective catering providers.
We ask that you please pre-book for dinner and accommodation on Friday and/or Saturday evenings. Contact: Paula Cuff,

CONCERT PERFORMANCES
Both the Friday night concert and Saturday evening Solidarity Concerts will commence 7.30pm in the main auditorium of
the Wananga Campus (same venue as the Conference). Entry into the concert is by donation. This concert evening is open
to the public. No alcohol on premise.
WORKSHOP ROOMS
To help you find your way to your workshop room, each room has been colour coded, green, orange, blue, pink and yellow.
Your programme will show a room colour next to a workshop title. Please use your colour-coded map to navigate your way
to your correct room or follow the arrows on the walls. If all else fails, ask any of the volunteers who will be wearing
conference tags.
MOVIE SCREENING
Greg Childs of Movieland 5 is kindly showing a free movie screening of 'Whale Rider' for delegates to the Social Forum
Aotearoa conference. The movie will screen Sunday 23 November commencing 1.30pm (duration 1.48mins). Movieland 5 is
located in North City Shopping Centre on Titahi Bay Road, 5 minutes walk from the Conference venue. If wet, we will run
a bus shuttle service between venues.
SPEAKER NOTES
If requested speaker presentations and workshop notes can be available after the conference via the conference web-site
www.socialforum.org.
BADGES
As a security requirement, delegates are required to wear their Conference name tag to all times.
MESSAGES
General messages will be displayed on the message board located in the main reception area.
STORAGE
Limited lockable storage space will be available at the conference venue. Please ask at the Information Desk. Please
note that whilst all care will be taken, the organisers take no responsibility for loss or theft.

An opportunity for people to book out workshop rooms for networking sessions after 5pm on Friday 21 and Saturday 22
November 2003. If you would like to book a room you must put the following information next to the room title.

SMOKING & ALCOHOL
The Te Wananga o Aotearoa is a smoke-free and alcohol-free building. Delegates are requested to observe this policy.

The Social Forum Aotearoa Conference will feature approximately 10 feature displays (including goods for sale) to be
located throughout the conference venue. You are invited to experience all of these displays throughout the conference
