Press release from EACCNZ November 1 2003
Ethical Adult Cannabis Consumers of New Zealand
More “Garbage” from Mr Dunne
Pro tobacco, gambling, alcohol and GM MP Peter Dunne is once more lowering the standard of behavior at Parliament with
his latest farcical statements regarding green MP Nandor Tanczos. Mr Dunne’s latest comments are about as accurate and
witty as his remark that having Nandor in his electorate “would lower house values” and all who heard or read them apart
from his own MP’s would recognise them as cheap gutter politics.
While EACCNZ members may strongly disagree with Jim Andertons stance of continuing criminal convictions for adult
Cannabis users he at least deserves some respect for debating the issue in public and not behaving like a pro tobacco
and alcohol industry lobbyist while in Parliament, it is unlikely his political party receives support from these
industries either.
Mr Dunne seems particularly offended that Nandor is honest with the New Zealand electorate which is far more than can be
said about Mr Dunne's stunts and misleading statements . Mr Dunne should know by now that Nandor has no dealer and
receives far more ‘koha’ than his modest religious usage could ever require, but still Dunne drones on “who’s your
dealer , who’s your dealer”.
Mr Dunne who has himself admitted using Cannabis should lead by example in turning himself into the Police and demand
that he receives a conviction for his past use but of course he won't be keen to experience himself the judicial
broomsticking that he advocates other New Zealand Cannabis users receive.
It is Mr Dunne “the family” man who is the true fraud in Parliament but fortunately frauds can be exposed and the New
Zealand public is starting to become more educated about this man's political CV and his strange voting patterns on
important issues to families and society.
In the meantime Mr Dunne you're quite right to run and hide from the debate in your own electorate, your refusal to pick
up the challenge that you yourself first issued is understandable and when your own views and arguments are weak
political “garbage” it’s best your constituents don’t get to see them close up.
