Food Not Bombs was also active in Cuba Street and gave away lots of yummy free food to passersby.
From 7:00AM to 9:00AM Peace Action Wellington picketed the US Embassy to draw attention to their nuclear program and to make a statement about staying nuclear free.

A small vigil was held by the cenotaph between 5:00-6:00PM to mark Hiroshima Day and to illustrate the major threat to world peace.
Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament were collecting on the streets all day around Wellington.
