FARMERS FIGHTING FUND BACKS F.A.R.T CAMPIAGN
The Farmers Fighting Fund (FFF) has joined the campaign against the Government's proposed Greenhouse Gas Emissions Research Tax.
Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc) have launched a nation-wide campaign 'Fight Against Ridiculous Taxes' which is urging Government not to implement a flatulence tax.
FFF represents all land users and as such we felt it was vital to oppose the imposition of a tax to fund research to reduce agricultural greenhouse gas emissions with no likelihood of world benefit, says FFF Chair Malcolm Bailey.
"To add insult to injury the government has commandeered the credits accruing to our land to use to benefit high-energy users.
FFF has funded bumper stickers supporting the Fight Against Ridiculous Taxes.
"FFF cannot stay silent on an issue which imposes costs on the productive sector for no environmental benefit."
