MP Peter Brown’s Death with Dignity bill is due for debate on Wednesday, 30th July
Brian Johnston, California Commissioner for the Aging and an expert on the effects of legalizing euthanasia, will be in Auckland this Friday and Saturday, before flying to Wellington, where he will be briefing politicians in Parliament on Tuesday.
Brian is an advocate for elderly and dependent and serves on California’s Board of Examiners of Nursing Homes. He is on the California Elder Abuse Task Force and the board of directors of the National Legal Center for Medically Dependent and Disabled.
He is the author of “Death of a Salesman: What’s Wrong with Assisted Suicide” – and has appeared on CNN, World News Tonight, PBS NewsHour, and many other programmes.
Brian Johnston is available for interviews on Friday and Saturday.
