Media advisory on holidays bills
The EPMU will tomorrow make its submissions on the Holidays Bill and the Holidays (Four Weeks Annual Leave) Amendment Bill.
The union has been campaigning for years for a fourth week’s leave for all workers, and is delighted that the issue is finally going before parliament.
The union will present evidence of the way in which one of New Zealand’s largest corporates supports the introduction of a minimum of four weeks’ leave on the ground of equity and meeting international standards.
The EPMU submissions will be presented by national secretary Andrew Little at Parliament between 10am and 11am. Copies will be available.
