Taradale youths given home detention
The New Zealand Parole Board has directed that six former Taradale High School students must continue serving their
sentences under home detention.
Andrew Castles, who pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison, will begin his home detention in
August.
Daniel Cutbill, Kent Burns and Gabriel Williams, who were each sentenced to two years in prison, will begin their home
detention in September.
Anthony Lloyd and Mark Hagen, who were each sentenced to two and half years, will begin their home detention in
November.
The offenders will serve their home detention sentences subject to the standard conditions set out in section 36(2) of
the Parole Act 2002, and special conditions imposed by the Board.
In all cases the length of home detention and the dates at which offenders may apply for it are laid out in the Parole
Act 2002.
