Maori Deliver Unanimous Declaration
In a show of unequivocal strength Maori have delivered a declaration asserting their customary rights to the foreshore and seabed.
The declaration also calls on Maori MPs to oppose any legislation that extinguishes
Maori customary rights. The Paeroa Declaration and explanatory documents is to be widely distributed allowing Maori and the public to avoid media and political inaccuracies.
