New CTU secretary welcome
The country’s largest union is welcoming the election of Aucklander Carol Beaumont as secretary of the Council of Trade Unions.
“Carol has been a tower of strength in reigniting the flame of unionism among young workers,” said EPMU national secretary Andrew Little.
“We look forward to working with her in her new role”.
The union would, however, miss outgoing secretary Paul Goulter, who had played a significant role in building new unity between unions.
