ATTACK OF THE SPEECH BUBBLES
Want to tell the Board of Esso/Exxon/Mobil personally to stop blocking efforts to address global warming? A picture is
worth a thousand emails!
Announcing the Attack of the Speech Bubbles: a global effort to make the world's number one environmental enemy
understand just how many people are saying "No" to climate change, "No" to future oil wars, and "No" to pollution by
saying "No" to Esso/Exxon/Mobil.
It's easy: upload a picture of yourself at our StopEsso site. Then select a "speech bubble" with a message to the oil
barons and place it on your picture. Your photo will be stored with a worldwide gallery of images which will then be
shown to Esso/Exxon/Mobil board members and shareholders, turned into billboards, posters, email, and projections. Our
goal is to make Esso/Exxon/Mobil stop interfering with efforts to stop global warming --we need you to help give that
message a global face. Let them know that you won't buy Esso/Exxon/Mobil products until they start buying in to efforts
to save the planet.

THE WEBBIES
The Webby Academy has nominated www.Greenpeace.org as one of the five best activist sites on the web! If you don't know
the Webbies, they're the Oscars of the website world, and this is a great honour for all 128,000 of us cyberactivists.
There are two ways to win: direct selection by the Academy, and the popular vote in the "Peoples Choice" competition.
We're shamelessly asking you to vote for the Greenpeace site for a number of reasons. For one, more cyberactivists: a
Webby win would bring more people to the site, more cyberactivists into the fold, and lend more weight to every campaign
we run. Secondly, everyone who stood up against the invasion of Iraq is feeling deflated when we see the horrors of a
war we all feel we were powerless to stop. But don't let anyone tell you that the peace activists lost. Activism has
built a base that's simply not going to go away, and its deepest concerns, far more to do with US unilateralist
ambitions and the concept of "preventive" war than Iraq, have simply been confirmed. It's more important now than ever
to show that activism can win, and peace is the real "People's Choi
