Hon Bill English’s broadside at business

In referring to Hon Bill English’s broadside at business, Auckland Chamber Chief Executive Michael Barnett said that business organizations had lobbied, consulted, negotiated and compromised with the present Government as vigorously and consistently as with previous governments.
“We have addressed issues of growth, employment, compliance, levels of taxation along with specialist issues such as occupational health and safety and Kyoto Protocols. To suggest we have in any way compromised our values is wrong,” said Mr Barnett.
