Urgent: stop the sale of Te Kuri!
Kia ora,
this message is in two parts: 1) for those of you in Wellington; and 2) for those of you outside Wellington.
*** 1) For those of you in Wellington
Support the Ngai Tämanuhiri Embassy.
From 9am Tuesday 6 August, to 5pm Friday 9 August, there will be a Ngai Tämanuhiri Embassy in parliament grounds from 9am to 5pm each day, demanding that the Crown (NZ government) stops the sale of Te Kuri (Young Nick's Head) to foreign parties.
Go along and support the Ngai Tämanuhiri Embassy, koha / kai also welcome. If you're planning any action of your own to oppose the sale of Te Kuri, it would be good if you check it out with the Ngai Tämanuhiri people first.
And you can do the things below too ...

* Sign the on-line petition at http://www.tekuri.com
* Contact your MP, Helen Clark and Michael Cullen - ask whether selling Te Kuri is really 'in the national interest' for all New Zealand, and say you oppose the sale. Contact details: contact your local MP via their electorate office, or by telephone (04) 471 9999 and ask to be put through to their office; or write to them at Parliament Buildings, Wellington.
