Vote Centre Left to Get A Life
“Only a vote for a Labour-led Government will result in policies which give workers a chance to reclaim their lives with their families and communities,” Council of Trade Unions president Ross Wilson said today.
“The CTU ‘Thirty Families Report’ has clearly struck a chord with New Zealanders and we have had a tremendous amount of interest and positive feedback today,” he said.
“But the choice about whether we move away from policies which created long working hours and pressure on families will be made by all New Zealanders on Saturday,” Ross Wilson said.
“The present situation was created by the National Government’s Employment Contracts Act and New Zealanders should be aware that the National Party, ACT, New Zealand First, and United Future all voted against repealing the ECA only two years ago,” he said.
“The policy choices for working people are clear on Saturday,” he said.
“A vote for a Labour led centre left Government is a vote for better work-life balance in people’s lives.”
